Wizebulk is a french startup newly founded in 2022 by former unicorns and scale-ups employees. Wizebulk core mission is to digitise the most strategic industry of maritime freight: dry bulk shipping (grain, coal, ore and fertilisers), with a yearly market value of $400 Mds.
Our key activities are around data management & modeling and digital workflows crafting. The company has about twenty employees and evolves in a very international environment, bringing a strong impact to the industry. Work organisation is mostly full remote with teams based in Paris, Lille, Aix-en-Provence and Bordeaux.
About the role
We are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining our infrastructure, deploying and monitoring our applications, and ensuring that our systems are secure, reliable and scalable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain and optimize our cloud infrastructure using tools like AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Implement and manage continuous integration and delivery pipelines, using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or TravisCI.
- Deploy and monitor our applications using tools like Kubernetes, Docker, or ECS.
- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Work closely with software developers to improve our code quality, performance, and security.
- Implement and manage system security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 availability of our systems.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve our infrastructure and processes.
Preferred experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python or Bash.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab, or TravisCI.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
